Old Pictures

We where given some photos of Daisys past when we brought her - heres a few

Quite pleased they changed the seat covers!

It appears they did a good job - at the time

Doors removed and filled - now showing the fact that the "easy" filler option taken.

Stripped out cab

Can you smel petrol?

A recent damp spot under Daisy looked like we had an oil leak, but a check of the dip stick didnt show any oil loss, so placing a piece of cardboard under the rear we quickly found the problem - a leaking petrol hose!

A few pounds spent on new hose and an hour or two put aside. Emptying the fuel tank took a while, there was a lot more in there than i thought, but once this was empty the job was not too bad. We wanted an
un-lowered Van, and on this my first "big" job was i pleased we stuck to this when buying - getting underneath was no problem!  Whilst having a look around while the fuel drained i noticed that the "heater" flaps didnt seam quite "right", and a few minutes of comparing each side showed that they had been fitted wrongly, well one side had, a bit of wire and i think i have now placed them both in the open position....... we will see!

2011 not starting too great, wheel bearing, fuel hose.... and with the MOT on the horizon, well lets hope that we have got the years issues out of the way.

Happy New Year (?)

So, a little late, Happy New Year!

We should have been planning our trips for the forthcoming year, but unfortunate events mean that our thoughts are elsewhere at the moment.

We have one event confirmed and in the diary, the rather wonderful festival that is Beared Theory!, the line up is taking shape and already looking good.

Weekends in Dorest,  The Lakes and Wales plus Cambridge Folk Fesitval are also pencilled in.

As for Daisy herself, well a "humming" noise has turned out to be (we think!) wheel bearings, so she is taking a trip to get these sorted and at the same time get new brake Pads & Shoes, whislt at the same time we are looking towards the MOT in late February.

So, a quick post, but we are trying to ensure at least a weekly entry this year!
