Leamington Peace Festival

18th June, and after a quick hour so on the allotment, time to head for Leamington Spa and the Peace Festival http://www.peacefestival.org.uk/ . Taking the "A" roads, 446 / 452,  an enjoyable drive turned into a little of a nightmare as we got lost in Warwick, I am not one known for getting lost but two trips into Warwick in two years have seen me well and truly misplaced - I think you need better signs Warwick!
Leamington found and a parking space a few minutes away from the festival. The rain stayed away, just, and as usual, the 3 Daft Monkeys played a great set, and the Festival its self a great event - we will be back with "picnic" next year!

The 3 Daft Monkeys (thanks for photo Chris!)

Sunday 19th and a trip to the Tara Centre Summer Fayre http://www.taracentre.org.uk/ to round off a great weekend of Camper Van travels.

Starter Motor woes

So, knowing if Daisy was going to start or not was getting to be an issue, all leads, earths, battery had been checked and so the Starter Motor was thought to be at fault, a visit from"re-tune Alan" confirmed.
A quick web check gave a couple of options, and so we needed to remove the old before ordering the new, 3 hours later and a lot of bits removed, the starter was off. A lot of the bits removed, it turns out need not have been!, but it was good to learn more about how the van is put together!

Due to an alarm call-out at work, the 3 hours were spread over two nights and also ment I had to fork out for a Saturday delivery!, but http://www.machine7.com/ were as usual great and the new motor was with us bright and early. Putting it back was easy!, but a service was due so a happy morning was spent, dodging the rain and giving Daisy a little TLC before her busy months of June, July & August travelling the Festivals and Parties.

Nice New one on the Left / Old and worn on the Right

Engine bay chaos as I try and locate the last nut!

Front Bumper "mount" needs some work!
